The Weekly Financial Mirror (4-colour business weekly) initiated its place in the media scene of Bangladesh on 14 August, 2002. It started its journey with a Nobel vision to promote country’s private sector and a feeling of humility to serve this nation as a truly independent business weekly. We, The Management of the financial Mirror, brought out this Business weekly to promote country’s private sector because we believe that the country could not achieve “the millennium goal of reducing poverty by half before the year 2015” without a presence of strong, efficient & competitive  private sector. Starting from small beginnings in 2002 with a circulation of a few thousand, the Weekly Financial Mirror becomes, over the year, a well circulated, most credible business weekly  of Bangladesh. This Business Weekly has already hit the newsstands in Dhaka and partially the commercial districts including Chittagong and Khulna. We also send some copies to the USA, Canada and U.K. from where we received several articles by our Overseas Correspondents.
With a view to upholding this responsibility of free press, the Financial Mirror is proud to pursue that policy without relenting for the past one year. Our long-term duty is to strengthen public opinion on how our economic system should work and how to sustain and nurture fair business practices effectively in Bangladesh.
