In Bangladesh, around 95% of blind girls never attend school and around 80% of blind adult women never have the opportunity to develop their full potential and find meaningful employment. |

| Recognizing the situation of these blind girls and women, the Baptist Mission Integrated School (BMIS), formerly the Baptist Sangha School for Blind Girls (BSSBG) was motivated to work towards establishing an educational facility under their “Social Institutions Board” in cooperation with Christoffel Blinden Mission (CBM)-Germany and encouraged by the Social Welfare Department of the Bangladesh Government |
